At Bath Spa Students’ Union, we understand the importance of making a change. We pride ourselves in listening to what you have to say, and make it a top priority to help support campaigns that challenge issues that students may face.

Getting involved in campaigns is a great way of helping to make an impact within the wider Bath Spa University community. Below you can find details of our key campaigns.

#NeverOK is a campaign aimed at creating a community where hate, harassment and assault are not tolerated.

The #NeverOK campaign empowers individuals to speak out against harassment through training and resources. We strive for all members of our community to take action to ensure Bath Spa continues to be a safe and accepting place to be.

Vote Matters

Make sure your voice is heard! It only takes 5 minutes to register and all you need is your National Insurance number.

LGBTQ+ History Month

LGBTQ+ History Month occurs every February and is chance to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history. It is also a chance to learn about the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements.

Black Lives Matter

Events in 2020 have shown there needs to be change. This needs to be nationally and particularly within small communities such as Bath Spa. Racism is a huge issue at Bath Spa University, and one that we have been raising for a long time. Like many of you, we have had enough and want to work even harder to tackle it. Enough is enough. We promise to continue to pressure the University and fight any resistance to change we may come across. We are also committed to improving our Students’ Union and addressing any barriers black students face.

Black History Month

Black History Month is an annual observance month. During Black History Month 2020, we are focusing on showcasing the talents of black people, amplifying the voices of our black community and supporting students to become proactive allies. Events during this month will be open to all students.

Educational Rights

Educational Rights Week is a campaign which aims to inform you of what your rights are as a student at Bath Spa University.

While some rights might already be familiar to you, others might not be so obvious, and we think it's essential that you know exactly what you’re entitled to while studying.
