Your SU President and VP Education will be running an Educational Rights Week between 30th November and 4th December 2020.

Your Students’ Union has four aims for the week:

  • Students know and understand what their educational rights are
  • Students feel empowered to speak up if they are being denied an educational right
  • Students know where to seek help if they are being denied an educational right
  • Students know what the Fit to Sit policy is and why it needs changing

We will be sharing 10 videos throughout the week on Instagram of different educational rights and how to access support.

On Friday we will premiere our Agony Aunt panel hosted by your SU President where your Advice and Wellbeing Coordinator, VP Education and a Course Rep and Senior Academic Rep will answer your questions about educational rights.

Throughout the week, we will also be explaining more about the Fit to Sit policy on Instagram and providing you with the opportunity to make powerful change.

Course Reps also have the opportunity to attend one of two Using Policy sessions, on both Tuesday 1st December at 12pm and Friday 4th December at 12pm. We encourage you to come to find how to make academic policy work for you. You can sign up by emailing [email protected]
