► Student Projects
Just V's student projects run mostly off-campus and provide:
- An opportunity to volunteer alongside professionals from local community organisations on a specific project and with a team of other students
- A chance to trial potential careers, to network and to develop key personal and professional skills
- Accreditation: full training is provided for all projects and volunteers have the chance of certification through Just V's Certificate in Volunteering Achievement
- All travel expenses and the training is also free!
In 2008 - 2009, some 75 students volunteered across 13 projects. These projects included:
- School tutoring in local primary schools
- Nursery assistant roles in Oak Tree Nursery
- DIY and animal care work at Bath Cats and Dogs Home
- Diet & Health project at Percy Community Centre
- Exercise & Lifestyle project with the Stroke Association
- Art mural project at Castle Primary School
- Drama and music youth work at Riverside Youth Centre
We recruit for projects throughout the term, and will launch the next opportunities in February.
