Bath Spa Gym  is located on the first floor of the Newton Park Students' Union on the Newton Park Campus.

The gym is  air conditioned and is fully equipped with 30 stations of the latest Life Fitness cardio vascular and strength equipment, a stretch and exercise area, 2 - 40kg Dumbbells & Olympic Weighs are also available. There is also two large plasma screens showing music videos etc.

All new members receive an induction class on the use of all equipment and access to a virtual trainer for the cardio vascular equipment via Life Fitness.

Our fully qualified and trained instructors are on hand during peak hours, and are always willing to advise on the use of the equipment when they are around.

A range of classes are offered on a pay as you go basis at a discounted rate for members, but are also open to non members at an additional fee.

Membership fees are as low as £100 per academic year.

To join you will need to download and complete a membership form or pick one up from the Students' Union Office.

Opening Times

Monday - Friday 7.30am - 7.30pm

Saturday / Sunday* 1.00pm - 7.30pm

The facility will be locked at 8pm.

* On evenings and weekends in University holidays the facility is accessible via a request at the main Security Lodge.

*Access will not be granted to loan users for safety reasons, please use the facility with a fellow member on weekends and evenings in University Holidays .

*The facility will be totally closed on bank holidays, Easter weekend and between Christmas eve and new year.

PLEASE NOTE the Union reserves the right to close the facility for up to 21 days per year for upkeep of the facility.
