A huge number of us have disabilities that are not visible. Talking about them can help us to cope - it makes others aware of barriers to access and it can simply make us feel better. That's why this week the Student Led Awareness Group are running the campaign, 'Invisible Disabilities - Let's Talk'.
We're getting ready to set up a permanent graffiti board, a free-creative space posing the question "How are you feeling today?"
SU Campaign Stall in the SU! On our stall, the SLAW team will be available for good chat, so please come and say hi! We'll be in t-shirts (hopefully), with our lovely new Grafitti Board; a laptop with some inspriational videos, some stickers to give out, posters, a fun game to play and some free post-cards for you!
We hit Sion Hill with the stall! (Not literally.)
On the Friday, we'll be screening Stephen Fry's film 'Secret Life of a Manic Depressive' in the background during lunchtime and then an official screening at 7PM; so please come and enjoy the documentary.
We'll be handing out society member forms all week for those who are interested in helping establish and joining the Mental Health society at the SU.
The Facebook event for the week is here.
